AI Rendering Tool Pricing Comparison 2026: Real Cost Per Image Across 9 Tools

··Vizcraft Team
pricingaicomparisonrenderingtools

Entry paid plans for AI rendering tools run from $10 to $79 a month, but the number that decides your bill is cost per image, and at 25 images a month that spans $0.76 on Vizcraft's Starter plan to $3.16 on ArchiVinci's monthly subscription and £3.16 on Gendo Studio. This is an ai rendering tool pricing comparison for buyers researching interior ai pricing, gendo pricing, myarchitectai (ArchitectAI) pricing plans, autodesk rendering price, and how much rendering software costs in 2026. Every competitor price below was read off that vendor's own public pricing page in August 2026, then divided by the images the plan actually allows.

This page compares money only. For studio and freelancer rates rather than software, use the architectural rendering cost guide and 3D rendering cost per image. For feature fit rather than price, see best AI rendering tools for architecture and best AI interior design tools. If the budget is zero, start with the free tiers surveyed in best AI visualization tools, then read is RoomGPT free? for the most-searched free tier in the category.

Prices checked August 2026 against each vendor's public pricing page. AI tool pricing changes often, so verify on the vendor's site before purchasing.

Gendo lists in GBP, so a US or EU buyer's real cost depends on the exchange rate and card FX fees on the day, which no comparison table can quote.

Why the sticker price tells you almost nothing

Six of the nine tools price in a way that makes the headline number useless for budgeting. Three sell unlimited capacity, one sells credits that are not images, one sells GPU time, one publishes nothing. Only Vizcraft, Interior AI and Virtual Staging AI meter in a unit you can divide.

"Unlimited" is the most common model, and it hides your real cost

Gendo Studio, all three MyArchitectAI tiers and every ArchiVinci plan advertise unlimited renders. That moves the cost-per-image question onto you: your effective rate is the plan price divided by however many images you produce, so a $79 unlimited plan is $7.90 per image if you make ten and $0.32 if you make 250.

Look instead at what actually tiers those plans. On MyArchitectAI it is seats, download resolution, storage and monthly animation counts, not render volume.

Credits are not images

mnml.ai's FAQ states that "main tools use 10 credits per design, while auxiliary tools use 1-5 credits per design" (mnml.ai), so a credit balance must be divided by ten before it means anything. Its pricing page publishes no per-tier credit allocations, and the rollover FAQ works its example against tiers named Lite, Plus and Studio while the pricing page sells Free, Pro and Unlimited. An honest comparison records that as unknown rather than guessing.

Contrast Vizcraft, where most single images cost one credit, so 25 credits is 25 images. Ask any credit-based vendor two questions before paying: how many credits per finished image, and do unused credits roll over. mnml.ai's do, capped at two months' worth.

Billing cadence and currency move the annual number more than the plan does

ArchiVinci is the clearest case. At $39 billed weekly the annualized cost is $2,028, while the yearly subscription is $549 for the same product, roughly 3.7x apart depending only on which button you click (ArchiVinci). Its one-time passes, $49 for 3 days up to $599 for a year, suit a project sprint rather than steady work.

Annual discounts also differ more than buyers expect. Interior AI cuts the deepest: $349/year against $49/month on Pro, and $599/year against $99/month on Premium, close to half price (Interior AI). ArchiVinci's $549/year against $79/month is a similar order. MyArchitectAI (two months free), Gendo (£790 against £79/month) and mnml.ai all sit near 17%, Midjourney at 20%.

Some vendors do not publish pricing at all

RoomGPT's homepage shows a promotional discount code but no plan names, prices or credit counts (RoomGPT). Its fulfillment policy does state the model, "There is no subscription model; all purchases are made on a per-credit basis," and that "Unused credits remain valid in your account indefinitely," but never the price of a credit, so you have to create an account to learn what it costs. Gendo Enterprise is likewise custom-quoted at a 20-seat minimum. You cannot budget what a vendor will not publish. For a product read, see RoomGPT review and alternatives.

Normalized: what each tool costs per image at your volume

This is the table nobody publishes. Each cell is the cheapest sensible plan for that tool divided by the images you actually finish that month.

Images/moVizcraftMyArchitectAI Starter $29ArchiVinci monthly $79ArchiVinci yearly ($46/mo)Gendo Studio £79Interior AI Pro $49Virtual Staging AI

250$0.40 (Studio $99)$0.12$0.32$0.18£0.32$0.20Over cap, see vendor

Midjourney is deliberately absent: it meters Fast GPU time rather than images, so no honest per-image row exists, and extra Fast GPU hours cost $4/hr (Midjourney). mnml.ai and RoomGPT are absent because their per-image cost is not published.

Where the crossover sits

Metered pricing is cheapest below roughly 50 images a month. At 10 to 25 images, Vizcraft's $0.70-$0.76 is the lowest published rate in this set, because unlimited plans force you to pay for capacity you never use.

Above roughly 50 images a month the unlimited plans win on raw price, and Vizcraft loses that comparison. MyArchitectAI Starter works out to $0.29 per image at 100 and $0.12 at 250. Interior AI Pro reaches about $0.049 per design if you genuinely use its 1,000-design allowance.

One caveat cuts across every column: a per-image rate only means something if one generation produces one usable image. If a tool needs five attempts to hold your layout, its real rate is five times the table value. That is why input type and structure fidelity belong in the same decision as price. See best AI visualization tools and the floor plan to 3D isometric workflow.

Tool-by-tool pricing detail

Vizcraft

Free tier of 2 credits, then Starter $19/25 credits ($0.76), Pro $49/100 ($0.49), Studio $99/250 ($0.40); one-time packs $7/10 ($0.70), $29/50 ($0.58), $99/200 ($0.50). Most single images cost one credit, so credits map to images directly. The boundary: Vizcraft outputs images, not editable 3D models, CAD files, glTF/GLB, AR assets or animations. See /pricing and /iso-mapper.

Gendo pricing

Free at £0/mo with one active project canvas, up to 50 assets and a watermark; Studio £79/mo or £790/year (about £66/mo) with unlimited generations, no watermark, upscaling, a commercial licence and 5 members, extra seats £15/mo. Enterprise is custom-quoted at 20 seats minimum. GBP plus unlimited means a low-volume solo user pays a lot per image. See Vizcraft vs Gendo.

MyArchitectAI (ArchitectAI) pricing plans

Often searched as ArchitectAI. Starter $29/mo ($290/year), Studio $49/mo ($490/year), Team $99/mo ($990/year) for 5 seats, plus 10 free renders at signup. All tiers advertise unlimited renders, edits and enhancer, so the real tiering is seats, resolution (4K on Starter, 8K above), storage (10GB, 100GB, 500GB) and animations (none on Starter, 50/mo on Studio, 200/mo on Team). Prices are per user and exclusive of local taxes. See Vizcraft vs MyArchitectAI.

ArchiVinci

Weekly $39, monthly $79, yearly $549 ($46/mo), each with unlimited renders plus coins for other models (20, 40, 500). One-time passes run $49 to $599; team plans for 5 users, $1,271 for 3 months to $2,546 for a year. Check the weekly-versus-yearly spread before subscribing. See Vizcraft vs Archivinci.

mnml.ai

Free $0, Pro $29/mo, Unlimited $99/mo, with a 17% annual discount. Credit allocations per tier are not shown, so per-image cost is unknown. The FAQ states main tools consume 10 credits per design, auxiliary tools 1-5, and credits roll over with a two-month cap. See Vizcraft vs mnml.

Interior AI pricing 2026

The clearest metered pricing in the interior category and the best rate here at volume. Interior AI's official pricing lists Pro $49/mo for 1,000 designs, Premium $99/mo for 5,000, Ultra $199/mo for 25,000; billed yearly $349, $599 and $1,199. That is about $0.049 per design on Pro monthly, $0.029 yearly, but only if you generate at that scale.

Virtual Staging AI

The only vendor here publishing its own cost per photo: Basic $16/mo for 6 ($2.67), Standard $19/mo for 20 ($0.95), Professional $39/mo for 60 ($0.65), Enterprise $79/mo for 150 ($0.53), billed yearly at $192, $228, $468 and $948, with a free image-editing trial. Compare it against listing volume, not render volume. See Vizcraft vs Virtual Staging AI and AI virtual staging for real estate.

RoomGPT

Unknown, see vendor. The model is public even though the prices are not: RoomGPT's fulfillment policy says purchases are per credit with no subscription, and that unused credits stay valid indefinitely. New accounts get a small free allowance whose size RoomGPT does not publish. With no plan names, prices or credit counts on the public site, RoomGPT cannot be placed in the normalized table and anyone comparing on price has to sign up first. See RoomGPT review and alternatives.

Midjourney

Basic $10/mo, Standard $30, Pro $60, Mega $120, with 20% off annual (Midjourney). It meters Fast GPU time rather than images, and extra Fast GPU hours sell at $4/hr and expire after 60 days, so there is no published cost per image. Relax mode gives unlimited generation on Standard, Pro and Mega. The caveat is capability, not price: it works from text prompts and does not preserve your plan geometry. See Vizcraft vs Midjourney and Midjourney for architecture.

What about traditional rendering software (Autodesk, Lumion, D5)?

Correct the stale assumption first. Autodesk no longer sells cloud credits: they stopped being available for purchase on March 29, 2022, remaining credits expired on March 29, 2023, and Flex tokens replaced them on a pay-per-result basis (Autodesk, Autodesk Platform Services). In Autodesk's rendering service a Standard-quality job up to 6 megapixels is free with Flex Tokens (1 megapixel with legacy Cloud Credits), while Final-quality rendering and larger images consume tokens, with the price shown in the Render Settings window (Autodesk Help).

The rest stays qualitative on purpose. Desktop and real-time renderers sell as annual seat licences and require capable GPU hardware, so their true cost is a per-seat-per-year figure, a different unit from everything above. For service rates see the architectural rendering cost guide; for the workflow trade-off see the guide to AI architectural visualization.

Costs no pricing page lists

  • Rejected generations, the biggest hidden multiplier on any per-image rate
  • Staff time spent reviewing and selecting outputs
  • Resolution gates, such as 4K on an entry tier versus 8K higher up
  • Watermarks on free tiers, which make them unusable for client work
  • Seat counts, once a second person needs access
  • Commercial-use licensing on free plans
  • Annual lock-in with no refund, plus credit expiry and rollover caps
  • Plans that renew weekly rather than monthly
  • Taxes stated as excluded from the listed price
  • Migrating a project library if you switch vendors mid-year

How to price-test three tools in one week

Pick one real input you already have: a floor plan, a site photo, an empty listing shot. Decide how many finished images the project needs, not how many generations. Run that input through three tools on free tiers or the smallest one-time pack, and count generations to first usable image for each. Then divide the plan price by finished usable images, not raw outputs. That is your true rate, and it is always above the table rate by whatever your reject ratio turns out to be. Only then choose between metered and unlimited pricing. Start from /compare and /pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI rendering tool has the lowest cost per image?

It depends on volume. Below about 50 images a month Vizcraft's $0.70-$0.76 is the lowest published rate here; above it, MyArchitectAI Starter falls to $0.29 at 100 images and $0.12 at 250, and Interior AI Pro reaches roughly $0.049 per design at full allowance.

How much does Gendo cost?

Free at £0/mo with one canvas, 50 assets and a watermark; Studio at £79/mo or £790/year with unlimited generations, no watermark, upscaling and 5 team members; Enterprise custom-quoted at a 20-seat minimum. All prices are in pounds.

What are MyArchitectAI's pricing plans?

Starter $29/mo ($290/year), Studio $49/mo ($490/year) and Team $99/mo ($990/year) for 5 seats, with 10 free renders to start. All tiers advertise unlimited renders, so the differences are resolution, storage and animation counts. Prices are per user and exclude local taxes.

What does Interior AI cost per design?

Pro is $49/month for 1,000 designs, Premium $99 for 5,000, Ultra $199 for 25,000, billed yearly at $349, $599 and $1,199. That works out to about $0.049 per design on Pro monthly and $0.029 yearly, but only at full allowance.

How much does RoomGPT cost?

The price per credit is not published. RoomGPT sells credits rather than subscriptions, and its fulfillment policy says unused credits remain valid indefinitely, but no plan names, prices or credit counts appear on the public site, so the only way to see pricing is to create an account. That is why it is excluded from the normalized table.

How much does rendering software cost in 2026?

There is no single answer, because vendors do not sell the same unit. AI rendering tools run about $10 to $199 a month, metered in credits, in images, or in nothing at all, while traditional desktop and real-time renderers sell as annual per-seat licences and require capable GPU hardware. Compare within a unit: cost per image against cost per image, seat-year against seat-year.

What is Autodesk's rendering price?

Autodesk retired cloud credits: they stopped being sold on March 29, 2022, remaining credits expired on March 29, 2023, and Flex tokens replaced them, billed per result. A Standard-quality job up to 6 megapixels is free with Flex Tokens, while Final-quality and larger images consume tokens, with the price shown before you submit. Check current Flex rates before budgeting.

Is Midjourney cheaper than a dedicated architectural rendering tool?

Its $10/month entry plan is the lowest headline price here, but it meters Fast GPU time rather than images and publishes no per-image cost, with extra Fast GPU hours at $4/hr. The bigger issue is fit: it works from text prompts and will not preserve your plan geometry, so rework often erases the price advantage.

Can any of these tools give me a 3D model or CAD file?

Vizcraft cannot. It produces images, including plan-to-isometric views, 2D plan to 3D visualizations, interior and exterior concept renders, staging and style transfer, but not editable 3D models, CAD files, glTF/GLB, AR assets, measured drawings or animations. Ask every vendor above the same question, because "render" means very different deliverables across these pricing pages.

Next step

If your volume sits under 50 images a month, metered pricing is where the math lands, and two free credits are enough to run the test above on a real plan. Start with floor plan to 3D isometric or check current packs on /pricing.
